The reflection on the Historic Urban Landscape approach was pioneered by our friend Ron van Oers (1965-2015) who unfortunately could not see the fruits produced by the seeds he had planted.

This issue of Built Heritage is dedicated to his memory and a tribute to the intellectual work he had conducted both at UNESCO and at WHITRAP.
